The French Spiderman completed another record-breaking climb late on Tuesday night. The 48-year-old daredevil, whose real name is Alain Robert, climbed 2,717 feet to the top of the Burj Khalifa in downtown Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Thousands of spectators crowded together in the plazas surrounding the towering skyscraper in order to witness the death-defying feat.
Unlike many of his previous climbs, Robert's scaling of the Burj Khalifa was done with permission. As the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa -- which was originally named the Burj Dubai -- was a natural choice for Robert.
