There is an event on facebook informing people about why they only see new feeds from certain people and why only certain people see their news feeds, its very helpful and connects you all the friends you never had a chance to interact with.

If you just want the spoiler, on your news feed click Most Recent, then Edit Options, then choose Show Posts From All Of Your Friends and Pages, then Save.
